The Flight of the Butterflies

My daughter has a great eye for photography.  The following pictures were taken by her on a wonderful day we spent together in Santa Barbara at the botanic gardens there many months ago.  She had just gotten the camera and was learning all it's function, I think she did a fabulous job.  And like the butterflies she has moved on and spread her wings..

Sometimes you just keep shooting and shooting pictures of a few moments in time and one picture is not enough to express the moment... this was one of those times.... I hope  you enjoy it.

Santa Barbara Sunset- Palm Trees and Ocean, Oil Painting

Santa Barbara Sunset with the light of the sun coming thru the palm trees. Santa Barbara and Malibu are the only places on the California coast line that run east and west rather than North and South - therefore you have both a wonderful sunrise and an amazing sunset.

My darling daughter took my husband and I to Lotusland  Welcome to Lotusland

 in Montecito for a wonderful day....  that is where I took this photo.

The gardens were stunning as was the surrounding buildings, ponds, etc.  If you ever have the time you should go... Lovely

Beach...the Wild Side

This was painted in lovely Santa Barbara in August after going whale watching.  The painting is of the wild side because that is how the ocean was at the Channel Islands.
The size is 10 1/4" x 7 1/8" .
